Video FA1714 – Play Discussion – Fake a Foul

This game clip has been published for educational purpose only.

On this play, the Official calls an offensive foul against WHITE-6.

Consider this:

FAKE a foul is any action by a player to pretend being fouled or to make theatrical exaggerated movements in order to create an opinion of being fouled and therefore gaining an unfair advantage.

A player fakes excessively (without any contact with the opponent) and does not generate any illegal contact: Direct Technical Foul (unsportsmanlike behavior)

On this play, a Technical Foul should have been assessed against RED-7 for unsporting behavior (excessive faking).

This type of behavior does not fit within the spirit of sportsmanship and fair play. Clean up the game.
