  1. One might even consider a disqualifying foul on this play as the act of White 8 bending over to essentially “submarine” the Red #5 COULD be interpreted as an intentional act. The fact that #8 White appears to have genuine concern for the well-being of #5 who has hit the floor and her head is genuine an also could be the determining factor between calling this unsporting or upgrading it to disqualifying.

I certainly share Karen Lasuik’s comment that suggest in most cases that though because of the outcome of the foul (player not severely injured) officials would normally blow the unsportsmanlike foul instead of the disqualifying foul. However player 8-White indeed UNDERCUT player 5-Red who was already airborne and in the act of shooting, which constitute a disqualifying foul.

  3. Falta Antideportiva.
    Recordar siempre los principios de esta regla:
    “Si un jugador en su intento de “buena fe” por jugar el balón comete un contacto excesivo. Falta Antideportiva”.
    “Moverse peligrosamente y por “debajo” de un oponente, puede ser una Falta Descalificante”.

  4. Referente a la mecánica: “para tomar una buena decisión hay que tener una buena ubicación”
    1. El arbitro seguidor debe estar preparado en situaciones de transición ofensiva, para llegar lo mas rápido posible a la linea final y obtener su nueva posición como líder y esperar la jugada.
    2. Se nota cierto tipo de “duda” al momento de sancionar la falta entre el central y el seguidor (ahora líder) justamente por la mala ubicación.
    3. La jugada debe encontrar bien preparado a los árbitros.
    4. No deben haber dudas de que esta jugada es una Falta Antideportiva.
